Questions About Ordering

Q. I'm new to all this. How do I get started?

Here's how simple it is:

  1. Click on the "Drug Search" option to the right.
  2. Find the medicine you need by entering all or part of a drug name into the "Search Drug Names" field.
  3. Click on the drug that you wish to order and the coresponding strength as per your prescription. Determine the quantity that you want to purchase. (e.g. if you take 1 tablet per day and you wish to purchase a 3 month supply, you need to purchase 90 tablets). Then click on the "Add to Cart" from the country that you wish to have that prescription filled.
  4. After you've clicked the "Add to Cart" button you will see your shopping cart. You can choose to continue shopping by clicking on "Search for another drug" to add more drugs to your order, or you can "Checkout".
  5. After you have hit the "Checkout" button you will be taken to another page where you are asked if you are a New Customer or a Previous Customer. Click on the applicable box for you.
  6. The next page allows you to register as a customer with us by completing the customer agreement. Once you have registered and accepted the customer agreement, entered your name and birthdate you will click on "I AGREE".
  7. You will now be taken to the Patient Profile form. You must complete all of you personal, billing, and medical information so that we can fill your order. Then simply click on the "Submit" button.
  8. Fax or mail the Prescription Fax Coversheet to us, along with your doctor's prescription.

For assistance, call our 1-866-704-5723 (toll free) number.

If you wish to fax the document go to the printable version of the Customer Agreement by clicking on the link in the Option 2 menu on the left.

Q. Do I need a prescription from my own doctor?

Yes. To fill your prescription, we must have a copy of your original prescription. That prescription must be written by a licensed U.S. physician.

Q. How long will it take to receive my original order and refill orders?

It takes time to validate your medical information and register you as a new customer. Your initial order may take up to 21 days to arrive. Experience shows that our affiliated pharmacy usually ships to you in 12-14 days.

Refill orders take 14 days at most to arrive.

Please Note: U.S. Customs can hold any package for up to 30 days!

Questions About Pricing and Payment

Q. How much can I expect to save by ordering from globaldrugoptions.com?

It depends on the medications you order. Some customers may save as much as 70% over what they would pay to an American pharmacy for the same drugs. Most customers can expect to save at least 50 per cent.

Q. Why are your prices so much lower than those in the U.S.?

In the U.S., pharmaceutical firms control pricing. The situation is different in most other developed countries, such as Canada and the UK. In addition, you save because of the favorable currency exchange rate when you use American dollars to pay for medications packaged in other countries. All globaldrugoptions.com prices are shown in U.S. dollars.

Q. How can I pay for my order?

We accept VISA and MasterCard.

Q. How do you charge for shipping?

We charge one shipping fee per parcel, per region, not per prescription. If all your prescriptions fit in one parcel, you will be charged only one shipping fee. The fee is $11.99 US per parcel. If you order prescriptions from more than one country you will be charged 2 shipping fees.

If you are ordering medications for different members of your family at the same time, please let us know. Call us or add a note to each fax cover sheet indicating that you would prefer to have the orders shipped together. We will do our best to ship them in one parcel, although that is not always possible.

Q. Are there any additional charges?

No. Unlike many companies, globaldrugoptions.com does not charge for authorizing your prescription or filling your order. You only pay for shipping - $11.99 US per region, for the total order - regardless of how many different prescription medications are included. There is also no sales tax on your order.

Q. Why is it cheaper for me to order a 90-day supply than a 30-day supply?

Each prescription charge must, by law, include a dispensing fee. That fee is the same for a 30-day supply and a 90-day supply. So if you buy a 90-day supply instead of a 30-day supply, you save two dispensing fees and two shipping fees!

Q. Will you accept my U.S. insurance coverage for payment?

No. A global company cannot accept U.S. insurance payments. We will provide a proper receipt for insurance purposes so you can claim back the expense. Depending on the policies of your insurance company, they may or may not accept our receipts. Check with them first.

Q. How is my first order different from refill orders?

When you order for the first time, you need to register with globaldrugoptions.com. This is a one-time registration. It includes accepting the customer agreement, filling out a health profile form, submitting a copy of your prescription via fax or mail along with our Prescription Order Form, and your payment information.

If you have refills written for your prescription, you need to contact us at our toll free number (1-866-704-5723) as they come due. We will not automatically fill refills. You should contact us approximately two weeks before the refill is due.

If your prescription has expired, you need to submit a copy of the new prescription written by a U.S. physician, along with the Prescription Order Form that is on our How to Order page. For your safety, a physician licensed in the country of your selected pharmacy must review the new prescription and your medical information before it can be filled by one of our licensed fulfillment phamacies.

Questions About Safety

Q. How does the quality of foreign medications compare to that of American medications?

Foreign governments in Canada and the UK have strict requirements for the manufacturing of medications, just like in the US. While drugs from Canada and the UK are not FDA approved, because the FDA can only approve drugs in the US, the drugs from Canada and the UK are approved by their respective regulatory bodies for their country which are similiar to the FDA. Safety requirements are similar to the requirements in the U.S. Some drugs sold in other countries were originally manufactured in the U.S. and repackaged for sale overseas.

Although the drugs you receive from globaldrugoptions.com may look slightly different or come in a container that's different from the one you're used to, for all intents and purposes they are identical, and are the approved version of that drug from that region.

For example, some medications may be in a tablet form in the U.S., but arrive from a different country in capsule form.

In addition, we can often offer you lower priced generic drugs. Generic medications are manufactured and inspected according to the same stringent regulations as brand name drugs, but they cost considerably less. The quality is the same; the choice is yours.

What are generic drugs?

A generic drug is a medication that the original manufacturer can no longer protect under patent laws. This means other pharmaceutical manufacturers can produce drugs with the exact same active ingredients and sell them for less.

Important Note: Canada has one of the highest world standards for manufacturing and testing generic medications.

Q. How do you ensure my safety?

All new prescriptions are verified by a physician licensed in the country processing your prescription. This physician reviews your medical information and assesses the safety and validity of your prescription.

Qualified pharmacy technicians check all prescription information again when filling the order.

Licensed pharmacists verify your prescription a final time before your order is shipped.

Q. Can I order all of my prescription medications from you?

Not necessarily. While globaldrugoptions.com has most of the medications available worldwide, we do not have access to all drugs. If you cannot find the drug you need by searching our Web site, please call us toll-free at 1-866-704-5723 and we'll be pleased to answer your specific questions.

Important Note: As a rule, globaldrugoptions.com will not sell any habit forming, or lifestyle prescription drugs. We are also unable to dispense any medication that requires refrigeration, although you may purchase them from our U.S. dispencing pharmacy, or by using the U.S. Rx Save card at your local pharmacy.

Questions about requirements, and restriction

Q. What is required to get started?

You must have a physical examination by a doctor in the U.S. within the last year. You need a written prescription from your doctor to order up to a 90-day supply of medication for your personal use only. You can call, fax or e-mail us to let us know that we should refill the prescription. It's your choice. When the refills have been used up, you must see your doctor to obtain another prescription.

Valid prescriptions are required to order drugs from our pharmacy. A valid prescription is one that has been written by your American physician and is less than one year old.

Q. Are you allowed to fill my American prescription?

Yes. Once a doctor licensed in your selected pharmacy's country has reviewed your medical history and approved your prescription, globaldrugoptions.com can have that prescription filled for you.

Q. Is there a limit on how much I can buy at one time?

Yes. By law we can send you no more than a three-month supply of each of your medications, provided you have a valid prescription for that amount of medication and they are for your personal use only. If your physician writes a prescription for more than a three-month supply, we will issue only enough of the prescription to cover the first three months. If requested, we can issue another three-month supply once the first three-month supply has been used up.

Q. Why can't I buy Valium, Tylenol #3 or other narcotic, addictive or controlled medications from globaldrugoptions.com?

Globaldrugoptions.com will not sell any habit-forming medications. Legally, we are prohibited from shipping narcotics and controlled substances.
